Lately, I've been a big advocate for upping those step counts, and for good reason. Whether it's squeezing in a brisk walk during your lunch break or taking a leisurely stroll on the weekend, every step you take has benefits that go far beyond just hitting a number on a pedometer.

One of the fantastic benefits of regular walking is the boost it gives to your metabolism. This simple activity gets your body moving and your heart pumping, increasing your calorie burn throughout the day.
